Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026

Wanli is an iPhone app made by luojiahai, an independent developer. This policy says what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version

Wanli collects no data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Wanli has no server of its own, so nothing you write in it reaches the developer.

Your trips

Your trips are stored on your iPhone.

When iCloud is on for Wanli, your trips are also kept in your private iCloud database, so that your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account can show them. The contents of a trip are stored there in encrypted fields. The developer cannot read that database. Apple handles iCloud data under Apple's privacy policy.

Turning iCloud off for Wanli leaves every trip on your iPhone.

Maps and place search

Wanli's maps and its place search are provided by Apple Maps. When you search for a place or tap one on the map, the request goes from your iPhone to Apple and is handled under Apple's privacy policy.

Wanli never asks for your location and does not know where you are.

Other maps apps

When you choose to open a place in Google Maps, Amap, or Baidu Maps, Wanli hands that app the place's name and coordinates. What that app does with them is covered by its own policy.

Sharing

A trip code or an itinerary picture leaves your iPhone only when you share it. A trip code holds the trip's title, its days, and its waypoints, and anyone you give it to can read them.

Camera and Photos

Wanli uses the camera only to scan a trip code. What the camera sees is read on your iPhone and is neither kept nor sent anywhere.

Wanli adds to Photos only when you save an itinerary picture. It cannot read your photo library.

Settings

Your choices of language, appearance, units, maps app, and map style are kept on your iPhone.

Children

Wanli collects no data from anyone, children included.

Deleting your data

Deleting a trip in Wanli removes it from your iPhone and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything it keeps on your iPhone. Copies in iCloud can be removed in the iCloud storage settings on your iPhone.
